Pilgrims’ hostel for sale

Have you walked the Way of St. James and now become a pilgrim at heart? The Camino de Santiago won’t let you go? And you want to give your life a whole new direction?

Here are 8 reasons to buy your own pilgrim hostel

  1. I would like to share my experiences.
I have learned so much on my journey and want to share this wealth of insight with others who are on their own pilgrimage.
  2. I strive to promote community.
The pilgrimage showed me how valuable and enriching community is. By running a hostel, I create a space where people can meet and exchange ideas.
  3. I feel called to give back.
Having experienced so much hospitality myself, I would like to offer other pilgrims the same support. It’s a way of showing my gratitude.
  4. I am looking for a spiritual center.
My trip was also a spiritual experience. For me, running a pilgrim hostel means working in a spiritual environment and offering support to others on their spiritual journey.
  5. I want a change in my life.
The pilgrimage awakened in me the desire for a profound change. Running a hostel offers me a new, fulfilling way of life that is in line with my values.
  6. I see economic opportunities.
I am aware that pilgrimages also offer economic opportunities. As an entrepreneur, I see the value in running a hostel that serves other pilgrims. After all, the number of pilgrims is increasing every year and the prices of overnight stays are also rising.
  7. I am fulfilling a dream.
Buying a pilgrim hostel is the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream for me. It combines my love of pilgrimage with the desire to help others on their journey.
  8. I want to be part of the Way of St. James.
Pilgrimage routes often have a rich history and tradition. By running a hostel, I contribute to the preservation of this cultural heritage and share it with others.

There are several thousand pilgrim hostels along the many Camino de Santiago routes, and most of them are in Spain, followed by Portugal.

Most pilgrim hostels are private. Like a small hotel, but with a full focus on pilgrims. A few pilgrim hostels are run by the church or the municipality (these are usually the ones that cannot be reserved and are particularly cheap for pilgrims).

It happens from time to time that someone wants to sell their private hostel, for example due to age.
